“Dushi bida” translates to “good life” in Papiamentu. Papiamentu is a Portuguese/Spanish-based creole language spoken in the Dutch Caribbean and is the most widely-spoken language on the Caribbean ABC islands, having official status in Aruba and Curacao. It is also recognized by the Dutch public bodies of Bonaire, Sint-Eustatius, and Saba. The inspiration for this filter came from popular Instagram filters that incorporate greetings in English and Spanish. This filter was created to bring the Papiamentu language to Instagram, featuring greetings such as “Good Morning” – “Bondia!”
